MICROBLADING FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Your eyebrow area will be slightly red after the procedure and color will appear dark. There’s no cause for concern as this is part of the healing process, and color will fade up to 40% as it heals. You will also notice slight scabbing in the following days. So, do not pick at the scabs as this may damage your skink and the outcome of the microbladed area.
As your brows heal, the color will lighten up. No downtime is required after your microblading procedure. In general, it takes about 7-14 days for your brows to heal, and close to 1 month for the color to fully set in.
After the 2 weeks healing time, you’ll notice the color is light, and your skin may have an opaque milky look. Your brow technician will provide you with aftercare instructions, which you should follow to the letter.
The pain level for the procedure is considered mild to none. Prior to the procedure your brow technician will apply a topical anesthetic to numb the area, and also reapplied during the procedure. Everyone’s pain level is different. Depending on the client, the feeling of the procedure has been described as light cat scratches to not feeling anything.
After the procedure, redness and slight swelling in the area is normal. Clients describe the area feeling similar to a light sunburn. You may want to take Tylenol but not aspirin or ibuprofen.
